Our Class camp 2019

This year we went on camp to a place called The Farm. There were lots of different activitys and we did all of them! One of my favourite parts of it was the mud run. the mud got up to chest high! Have you ever been to The Farm?

Movie making

We are learning to make movies and our group got to enter in the Te hiku film festival. All the movies that made it through got to have there movies screened an the Te ahu cinema. All we had to use was a tripod, camera,script and some props. Then we asked some people if they wanted to be actors for our movie. After that we filmed but we didn’t get everybody to come out at once, we just borrowed the people from class then sent them back. If I was to change the way we did it I would probably have more actors. Then we didn't need to use as many props. Have you ever made a short movie before?

Captain Cook Animation

Our learning intention was to present an animation that shows our new learning about the different perspectives of Māori and europeans first encounters 250 years ago. Lately we have been making animations about when Captain Cook came to New Zealand. This is my slide I made. I enjoyed making it because we could use practically anything we wanted. Next time I would probably take the photos of the beach myself. Have you ever made a google slide animation?
I made it by taking a whole lot of photos on my chrome book. Than inserting them on a google slide to create a animations. Some of them have had the backgrounds removed.

My Movie Revew

Lately in class we have been learning to make movie reviews. We made some for Point England school.

I enjoyed watching the movies because some of them were really funny. 

Next time I'd probably use something to slow the movie down cause some of the scenes were shot quite fast.
The thing that was easiest was all the video watching.                  (Of course😊.)
We reviewed cinematography, sound, the plot, editing, the narrative, and the scene.

My Tiny House Project

WALT design and measure accurately to create our Tiny House.

We had to design a base first before we could make the walls. Sadly I didn't have time to make the roof or the furniture.

I really enjoyed colouring it because I could choose any colour I wanted.
The only thing I found hard was cutting out the windows.

learning pathways

WALT create a pathway for our future.
One of our teachers gave us a template on google slides to work on.
It's so we can write down our goals, skills, dreams and aspirations.
It was fun to upgrade the backrounds, fonts and the colours.
Next time I may elaborate a bit more on what happens in the job.

Hi my name is Dominic,
at the moment I'm 12 turning 13 in October.
I really enjoy reading, riding dirt bikes, inventing things, swimming, boogie boarding, surfing and many other things. My Favourite subjects in school are maths, reading and P.E. That's a little bit about me!
